The Green Zone (Adams Morgan, DC) One of DC's best cocktail bars and genuinely one of the coolest rooms in the city; dark, intimate, and drawing from Middle Eastern spirits and botanicals in ways that make every drink feel like a discovery. Tuesday-Saturday 5-8 PM and all day Sunday: $1.50 off drafts, $11 wine, and $12 cocktails. The three-hour evening window is one of the more generous in Adams Morgan. Jack Rose Dining Saloon (Adams Morgan, DC) Over 2,700 whiskey expressions on library-style shelves in a dark, multi-level room that was built for lingering. The Whiskey Revolution Tasting Room (National Harbor, MD) Tucked inside the Gaylord National's massive 19-story glass atrium, itself one of the most dramatically air-conditioned spaces in the DMV, this dedicated whiskey tasting room offers 100+ expressions including rare and exclusive pours alongside whiskey-based cocktails.
