New spots are opening, menus are getting refreshed, and some great deals have quietly landed across DC and Arlington. Here are four worth putting on your radar this season.

🎯 Flight Club DC | Chinatown, DC | Mon–Fri 4–6pm

Flight Club just revamped their happy hour and it's one of the more interesting programs in DC right now. Daily 4–6pm: $2 off all draft beer, liquor, and wine by the glass, plus signature cocktails starting at $9.

The standout is the Jungle Bird ($9 during happy hour): a classic tiki cocktail originally created at the Aviary Bar at the Kuala Lumpur Hilton, and one of the last original tiki drinks before the genre faded in the disco era. Worth ordering just for the story.

What also sets Flight Club apart: 80 to 90% of their draft beers are sourced from local DMV breweries, making it a great spot to explore regional pours alongside competitive darts. Happy hour at a social darts venue is genuinely one of the more fun after-work formats in the city.

🍛 Kathmandu | U Street, DC | Tue–Thu 4–6pm + Late Night 9–11pm

Kathmandu is bringing something genuinely different to the DC happy hour scene: Nepali-inspired tapas and cocktails with deals that are hard to argue with. The headliner is $1/pc Mo:Mo, traditional Himalayan dumplings served steamed or fried with tomato chutney. At a dollar a piece, you're ordering a plate before you even sit down.

The bar program leans into it too. Buy one get one free on three signature cocktails: the Himalayan Old Fashioned, the Lychee Phool Martini, and the AnarRita, their take on a margarita made with pomegranate. Beers are $7, wines $9, and mocktails $7 across the board.

What sets Kathmandu apart is how well the food and drink concepts work together. The Mustang Aloo (crispy potatoes with Timur chilli and Thakali chutney), the Nepali Chicken Bites, and the Schezuan-dusted calamari all feel like proper dishes, not happy hour afterthoughts. The atmosphere matches: this is a full experience, not just a discounted drink.

And if you miss the early window, they run a Reverse Happy Hour Tuesday through Thursday and Sunday from 9 to 11pm, making it one of the few spots in the city with a legitimate late-night deal too.

A solid new addition to the Clarendon happy hour scene. Mon–Fri 3–6pm: $5 domestic drafts, $7 any Tito's cocktail, $8 spritzes, and BOGO appetizers. The daily specials sweeten the deal further: $0.50 wings on Monday, half-off wine on Wednesday evening, $3 domestic mugs on Thursday, and an $18 pizza + 4 pony beers deal on Friday. One of the better value happy hours in Clarendon right now.

🥂 Goodlove | Downtown DC | Wed–Sat 6–8pm

A later-night happy hour for when you want to keep the evening going. Wed–Sat 6–8pm with half off classic cocktails. Located at 15th and K, Goodlove is a lounge-forward concept with a vibe that's more after-dinner drinks than after-work pub. If your happy hour tends to start late, this one's worth bookmarking.

🍔 Boulevard VA | Clarendon, Arlington | Wed–Fri 5–6:30pm

A new American spot on Wilson Blvd with a tight but solid happy hour window. Wed–Fri 5–6:30pm: $4 beers and seltzers, $7 wines, and $10–14 appetizers. The shorter window means you need to plan around it, but the pricing is clean and Clarendon's foot traffic at that hour makes it a natural stop on a mid-week evening out.
